You've seen the news about GM reducing the number of dealerships across the country and even some local franchises were notified they will no longer be selling new GM vehicles. Brennan Buick, however, has been identified by GM as one of it's key dealers for the Buick brand. GM certainly considered many factors in making these difficult decisions and Brennan Buick General Manager Mike Brennan says, "We want to thank our customers for being loyal, for buying cars, for getting service, for responding to surveys, and for giving us the marks they thought we deserved. That is the kind of information GM looked at in selecting the dealers it wanted moving forward." Looking ahead GM will be on better financial footing and they'll be re-dedicating themselves to developing great new products. The 2010 Buick LaCrosse, which will be at Brennan late June / early July, is a good example. It's a great car at a reasonable price. Mike is excited about the future for both Brennan and Buick. "GM is reducing management layers that will allow them to move faster. I think they'll be more dedicated and will be faster to bring new and better products to the market." We know one of the top concerns potential car buyers have right now is being able to count on warranty coverage. As Mike said, "Customers shouldn't have any worries about having repair work done. The government has assured that it will step in, if necessary, to insure warranty service by backing up parts manufacturers, suppliers and dealerships to stand behind warranty work completely."

For many years Brennan Buick has helped thousands of young drivers with their first behind the wheel experience. We allow a number of schools including East and West De Pere, Bay Port, Ashwaubenon and Little Chute to use new Buicks as part of their behind the wheel driver education programs. It makes us feel good to know these kids are learning in safe, quality Buicks. Maybe you'll be taking your children or grandchildren out to let them get some behind the wheel time this summer. Here are a few thoughts:

So...try to drive safely and correctly as soon as your child or grandchild starts to notice the things you do...say...by age 1! Further demonstrating Buick's ongoing commitment to quality, J.D. Power and Associates announced that Buick tied for the highest ranking in long term dependability. The Buick LaCrosse was also ranked first in the midsize car segment, beating Toyota Camry. For the seventh straight year, Buick has ranked in the top ten brands in the study, which tracks vehicle issues over a three year ownership period. The shapes are futuristic without being intimidating, and lots of blue ambient lighting illuminates the various cubbies, door pulls, and trim pieces.
Fuel economy will be about 18 mpg city/27 highway for the 3.0 liter. The top of the line LaCrosse CXS will come with the 3.6 liter version of the direct-injection V-6, punching out 280 hp with front wheel drive, active damping, available 19 inch wheels and a few additional luxury features like heated and cooled seats. You might think an evening at the drive-in movie theater is just a pleasant memory of years gone by. Good news! You can still take in a movie at a drive-in. Only now, you’ll probably be in a much more comfortable Buick…and you won’t have to ask Dad for the keys!

Answer: Well the Guinness Book of Records top place is held by Irv Gordon whose 1966 Volvo has now logged over 2.6 million miles! According to Edmunds.com the top five ways to make your car run “forever” are: Follow your service schedule, check fluids and tire pressure regularly, go easy during start up, use a single high-grade fuel, and drive smart. Of course you can count on Brennan to help you keep up with the maintenance basics. My personal suggestions would be to religiously follow the maintenance schedule for your vehicle, pay attention to your car’s gauges, regularly wash your car and store it in a covered place. Maintain, maintain and maintain…and maybe your million mile ride might be headed for the record books!
